The International Social Enterprise Observatory
Following the Social Enterprise World Forum (SEWF) in Brisbane, what can we learn from the conversations at this event and what could it mean for social enterprises in Scotland?
Each year the Social Enterprise World Forum offers an opportunity for social enterprises from across the globe to share ideas, inspiration and learning. For those that were unable to take part in the event, we will reflect and discuss the key topics covered, in particular to highlight what is relevant for social enterprises in Scotland.
We will be joined by Cameron Campbell from STAT SALUS, a relatively new social enterprise, on how he is currently exploring opportunities for international expansion and how ISEO is supporting him. We will also hear from Celia Hodson from Hey Girls, an established social enterprise, on how her business expanded internationally and the experience she has gained along the way. And Gerry Higgins, founder and Managing Director of SEWF, will give an overview of what ISEO can do to support Scottish social enterprise and why you should become an ISEO member.
Having all recently been at the SEWF in Brisbane, they will also share some of their experiences from the event and how it is an excellent catalyst for those that wish to expand their international networks.
Finally, we will ensure that all those that attend have the most up to date information on what resources and support is available if expansion internationally is something that your organisation may want to consider in the future – which starts with signing up to the ISEO newsletter!
